Everyday, we consume energy, food and drink, entertainment, clothing and a thousand other items. Our daily lives are also driven by convenience, and the expectation of next day delivery. The pandemic and the Ever Given stranding in the Suez Canal have also shown up the fragility of our just-in-time systems, with gaps appearing on shelves. This session will explore out-sourcing, the importance of container ships and the importance of logistics and ideas for exploring these topics in the geography classroom and beyond.
I shall be speaking about this topic in a session for the GA Cambridge Branch on Tuesday the 1st of February.
I'll share a link with more details on how to view the session nearer the time.
