In 2018, I worked on the Ice Flows Game education pack with Anne Le Brocq from Exeter University. The game explores the movement of ice shelves in Antarctica and the influences that lead to them melting - something of particular interest currently with the news this week of the impending collapse of the Thwaites Glacier.
At the time, Anne said that she was hoping to get funding to extend the game to include the Greenland Ice Sheet.
I checked in earlier this week ahead of using the resource again with my Year 8 students as part of our Heading South unit on Antarctica and saw that the site DOES now include elements of Greenland. The funding has come from MiiGreenland.
