GAConf22: Earth's Story: 4.5 billion years and a Geography curriculum - #18 of many

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

An interesting sounding session from Dion Burgess.

Dion shares work on a curriculum which tells the story of the Earth.

I have experienced a walk themed around Earth's history as part of activities offered at FSC centres.

Our KS3 curriculum tells the story of us and our planet – from the birth of Earth some 4.5 billion years ago to the Anthropocene and beyond. This session outlines the role of stories, sequencing, big concepts, and a grand narrative in building curriculum coherence and helping make knowledge stick.
