The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.
This session is going to be of particular interest to those with a physical geography focus to their work or interests. It is presented by the legendary Duncan Hawley along with Keith Hicks from the GA's Physical Geography Special Interest Group.
This session will showcase practical activities through which teachers can enable students to experience a deeper understanding of the science of how carbon production and storage occurs, using real examples from the everyday world.
The activities will help students get to grips with carbon flux in different contexts and tangibly identify the geographical consequences of human interaction and intervention in the physical world.
This is an area that many teachers need support with, and will be particularly practical as Duncan is involved in a number of projects helping teachers to develop their Earth Science knowledge.
