GAConf22: Low traffic neighbourhoods: geographical skills on the doorstep - #30 of many

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

Essential for our cities’ survival or the next battleground in the Culture Wars?

Low Traffic Neighbourhoods certainly provide us with an interesting topic for debate; but much more than that they allow us to study how our urban spaces are changing in real time, with debates on the issue being played out across conventional and social media.

With an increasing body of supporting evidence from academic institutions, from fieldwork to analysis of multimedia evidence in favour and against the schemes, there is great opportunity to use and strengthen a number of geographical skills.
