GAConf22: What do young people actually think about Geography? - #6 of many

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

This session is led by Steve Brace of the RGS and will reveal some findings from a number of research reports which has been carried out.

It is also early doors on the first day, so may be how many delegates start their conference experience.

The RGS-IBG and the GA have been connected in different ways over the decades and colleagues from RGS-IBG are always very supportive of the GA conference.

Check out their physical stand as well in the exhibition, which will be both real and virtual this year. There are always plenty of freebies, and it's a good place to find out more about their Chartered Geographer and Geography Ambassador options for colleagues.

A description of the session:

In 2021 the RGS undertook external national research with 500 16-21-year-olds who shared their views on geography. Over 50% were from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic, or low-income backgrounds. Find out their varied views on our subject from both those who do and those who don’t study it.
