There are a number of opportunities to help people in other parts of the world. One is through mapping.
There are a numbner of tools and apps which can be used for this.
Those completing the Duke of Edinburgh's Award are required to spend some time on a volunteering opportunity. This year, I am going to be acting as moderator for some students who are completing their D of E at school, and are spending their time assisting with Missing Maps for one of their elements.
