Louise Jenkins will be exploring the use of hooks.

Hooks are used to create intrigue and drive interest in lessons. However, should we use stories and images that provoke shock? Though they create intrigue it can limit understanding and cause our students to lose focus on the geographical content. 

This session will discuss alternative resources and factors to consider when assessing for shock value.
