GAConf22: Fieldwork in your Pocket: Five mini fieldwork investigations about the everyday - #31

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

I'm very much looking forward to this session.

It takes its inspiration from the Dear Data project.

This involved correspondence between Stefanie Posavec and Giorgia Lupik, who chose a theme and then sent each other a postcard which had an infographic on it. A range of examples to provide some insipiration can be viewed on the Dear Data website here.

Inspired by the work of Stefanie Posavec and Giorgia Lupi and the Dear Data project, this session will introduce five very accessible and data-rich mini-investigations that document our everyday. 

Each investigation can be completed on a postcard, carried in your back pocket and will explore our daily emotional and behavioural responses to issue-based geographies in our local area. 

The session is presented by my friend and mentor Claire Kyndt, Teacher of Geography, King's Ely. We previously co-presented on the work of our 'Ordinary Geography Department' and 

I have copies of all of these products here, and they are very useful for alternative fieldwork activities.
