The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

Simon Oakes was another of the names on my original list when thinking who I would like to speak at the  conference.

What makes a good ‘everyday’ or ‘commonplace’ case study? 


Populating a human geography curriculum with prescribed or suggested case studies can be a positive and creative process, but there are challenges too, in relation to inclusivity and power differentials between and within overlapping sets of actors (teachers, learners, authors and examiners). 

Whose commonplace case studies are awarded leading roles in the curriculum world-building process – and why?
