A new opportunity for students which has been developed by Christ Church College, Oxford. A competition which runs through to the end of March 2022.
It is called 'This is Geography'
Y7 – Y10 students are invited to submit a short video entry (2 – 5 minutes at most) on a geographical issue or phenomenon that is local to you. It’s completely up to you what you decide to focus on in your video, but you must be able to explain how it broadly relates to the study of Geography (human, physical or environmental).
Have fun and be creative with your videos! Why have you picked the topic you have, and how can you make it interesting to a wider audience? How are you going to style your video? You could take us on a guided tour; conduct interviews; make a performance piece; make an animation; or any other method you like.
Use whatever technology you have available to you – for example, recording a video on your phone is completely fine.

There is a strong historical connection between this college and the Geographical Association in that the Association was founded following a meeting held at the College in 1893.
