New RGS report on geography careers and subject choices

Thanks to Steve Brace for sending me a copy of a new RGS-IBG report on young people's views on subject choices, further study and careers in geography.

This is based on research with 500 young people last year.

Steve says that there are some genuinely interesting findings for geography – it reads like there is definitely still work to do to better position geography in the careers ‘market’

It can be located and downloaded here, along with further information on the process and the background to the report.

To find out a great deal more about why you should study Geography, check out a certain book with green beans on the cover.

Also keep an eye out for the work of the GA's New Research Leads as the year progresses.

And for 14-18 year old students, why not bring them to the GA Conference to experience some sessions including one from me on why geography matters. Check out the GEO Live event.
