A query led me off on a tangent a week or so ago, which is easy enough to do at the best of times.
Quintain is a company which is involved in property development in the UK and Ireland, and has created a range of industrial and domestic buildings.
The company has a very large ongoing project around the 'new' Wembley Stadium - an area called Wembley Park.
Developments like this are significant and can change the nature of a significant section of a city. There are sometimes issues with the impact this sort of development has on local communities as it may change the price of property and impact on surrounding areas with noise, traffic, pressure on schools etc.
Here's the story of the development so far:
Interestingly, the development then featured in the recent episode of the 'Apprentice'. The contestants were trying to sell or lease electric vehicles which were self driven. When they were told Wembley they just thought 'football' and didn't think big enough - with predictably poor outcomes.
