The Goldfrapp album Felt Mountain was released in 2000.
It features an image of the Matterhorn or Monte Cervino on the back of the LP/CD.
Last weekend, after over two years of waiting, I finally got to see Goldfrapp performing the album, and other music at the Royal Festival Hall, and what a joy it was...
What other albums can you think of that have such prominent geographical features on the front or back covers?
Led Zeppelin's 'Houses of the Holy' springs to mind - a cover designed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis - an old boy of the school where I teach, and featuring photos taken at the Giant's Causeway.
