GA Conference 2022 Exhibition

For the last two years we have had a virtual exhibition at the GA Conference. This year we are back in person. Exhibitors also have options for a virtual space on the conference website. If you are joining us you will have had an email with all the details.

There is an exhibition space in the usual area of the university, near to the reception desk and GA stand. There is a one way flow to keep people safe.

The refreshments and the lunch grab bags will also be found there. Go and say hi to the exhibitors.

AQA - Stand 6 and 7

AQA is the UK’s largest GCSE and A level exam board; we set and mark over half of all GCSEs and A-levels taken in the UK every year. Our UK qualifications are highly valued by employers and universities around the world. They are taught mainly in schools and colleges and include GCSEs, AS and A-levels, the Extended Project Qualification, Tech- levels and Technical Awards. We also offer Unit Award Scheme which allows learners to have their achievements recognised through unitised certificates covering Geography.

Britannica  - Stand 33 and 34

British Cartographic Society - Stand 26
The British Cartographic Society (BCS) is an association of individuals and organisations dedicated to exploring and developing the world of maps. Membership includes mapping companies, publishers, designers, academics, researchers, map curators, individual cartographers, GIS specialists and members of the public with an interest in maps.

Camps International - Stand 37 

Camps International offer life-changing, ethical experiential travel in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Since 2002, we have been working in partnership with rural communities to help them overcome the daily challenges they are facing through our sustainable community, wildlife and environmental initiatives. Over 30,000 people have travelled with us, completing over 350 sustainable projects.

Compassion in World Farming - Stand 25 

Compassion in World Farming is an animal welfare/environment organisation. We provide free resources on food, sustainable farming and the welfare of farm animals for primary, secondary and university teachers. We provide a free speaker service for UK schools. We would love to meet you at our stand.

Esri - Stand 17 and 18 

Developed by Esri, ArcGIS Online is a complete, cloud-based mapping platform that makes teaching with GIS easy. There is no install, you just need a browser to get started. ArcGIS Online works on PCs, Macs, and mobile devices. Visit their stand to find out more.

Field Studies Council - Stand 19 

Field Studies Council (FSC) is the only environmental education charity dedicated solely to helping people of all ages to experience the environment at first hand. Fieldwork courses have been developed for those studying A level and GCSE geography for the 2016 specifications. Visit our stand for more information.

Flooglebinder - Stand 35

Flooglebinder was the first UK travel company to become a B Corp back in 2016 and still the only in the Education sector. Their mission is to protect vulnerable habitats, threatened species and diminishing cultures, whilst tackling mental health through epic adventures from 1-night residentials in the UK to 3 week expeditions in the Amazon.

The Geological Society - Stand 32 

Geosciences will play a key role in delivering clean energy, infrastructure and climate research, and The Geological Society supports those working in these sectors throughout their careers. The Society’s education programme champions learning in geoscience through teacher CPD, resources, careers days and competitions for students.

Hodder Education  - Stand 9 and 10 

Hodder Education produces high-quality Geography resources to support teachers and students from KS1 through to A-level, including Progress in Geography: Key Stage 3 which was highly commended in the 2019 GA Publishers’ Awards, and KS1/KS2 resources from Rising Stars which provide a high-quality Primary Geography curriculum for the whole school.
