A London Inheritance is an excellent collection of resources about the city of London. Why not work with a group of people to wander the streets of your local area, and research how they have changed over time and put together a website - you could use a blogging platform such as Blogger, Wordpress or Wix to create your online presence.
Facebook groups are another great source of local imagery and memories and a helpful community can build up with careful curation.
The week has the theme of CHANGE.
