One of the highlights of my teaching career was the awarding of the Ordnance Survey Award for Excellence in Secondary Geography Teaching by the RGS-IBG back in 2008.
Each year, two people are chosen, and the list of previous awardees includes some very fine practitioners.
This year's awardees are certainly two people who have done a great deal to inspire and support colleagues in areas which are of particular importance to the profession currently.

Well done to all the other award and medal winners this year, which include an Honorary Fellowship for the excellent Jo Norcup.
