Well done to all those receiving results on Thursday, no matter what they were. I worked out it was 40 years ago when I received my results. I still remember the day well. I'd got enough to get to my choice of course at Huddersfield Polytechnic and had a few drinks before heading off on holiday to Cornwall with friends.
The GA and RGS have been publishing some statements on the results, with more analysis to come in time.
Delighted to learn that #geography #Alevel entries rose another 6.2% in 2022, to 37,443. This makes geography one of the 10 most popular subjects at A level. #geographyteacher pic.twitter.com/hHCimdA9oB

The Times has pointed out the way that current news stories are showing the relevance of geography, and how it can also lead on to a range of careers.
There were some interesting statistics emerging as well. And here's an interesting bit of 'geography of geography' - subject entries in the North, Midlands and South. #geography #Alevel less skewed towards 'the south' than many other subjects... pic.twitter.com/qHuqJybwZM

Equally pleasing to see that #geography #Alevel has maintained its status as a gender-balanced qualification in 2022. #geographyteacher pic.twitter.com/keSOfThh3z
