Plans for a new reservoir

A story in the EDP about a proposed new reservoir - it's about time...

This is much needed given the changing rainfall patterns which have been brought into sharp focus this summer.

The scheme is proposed for a Fens location, to go either east or west of the Ouse Washes near the border of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, and would be among the first new reservoirs built in Britain in over 30 years.

And the cost of £1 billion is not a great deal compared to some of the money wasted on other things over the last few years. Unbelievable that more water storage capacity hasn't been built in the last few decades.
