Details below:The Geographical Association's Belfast Branch is delighted to announce that Dr Ian Shuttleworth, Geography, Queen's University Belfast, will be joining us to talk on Population Data: A Census Case Study (AS Unit 2).
GCE CCEA AS Unit 2 – 1(a) Population Data - Students should be able to: (i) distinguish between national census taking and vital registration; ii) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the contrasts between MEDCs and LEDCs in relation to the reliability of data, how the data is collected, and the use made of the data; This talk will consider the UK Census, focusing in particular on trends in Northern Ireland.
