A recent report on climate change has been described in a piece in the Guardian. It refers to the imminent passing of a number of critical tipping points which will likely lead to an increase in the rate of warming that we will see.
This diagram below was shared by Carbon Brief. It is taken from the report. The map shows some events which would only be happening by 2100 in the books when I started teaching in the 1980s. They are likely to happen before then, although there is some debate about a few of them here.
