Paula Owens has worked with Emily Rotchell, Sarah Sprake and Sharon Witt to produce a very useful document exploring the potential of the Early Years and Foundation Stage Framework, which was produced by the DfE in 2021. it provides guidance for doing wonderful and effective geography with young pupils.
It is being made freely available.
The resource is hosted on the EYFS page of the GA website.
There is plenty of interest here, including this useful list of the sorts of skills that an EYFS curriculum should explore, and which are also relevant to a geographical way of thinking about the world.
The document has also featured as a pullout in the latest issue of Primary Geography.
I uploaded it to Slideshare to facilitate embedding on the blog.
