When asked to define or explain what I mean by infastructure I will probably use this image from now on, which I came across while walking through Bucharest the weekend before last. It was very close to my hotel, and featured a massive tangle of wires, air conditioning units, satellite dishes, pipes, ducts and graffiti.
All cities have these 'messy' spaces which keep the more attractive ones working...
