I popped over to Castle Acre recently for a walk with Brendan Conway.
Castle Acre is a village which features in Chapter 5 of the 2nd edition of 'Fieldwork through Enquiry'.
This has a range of accompanying resources that can be downloaded by those with a copy of the book.
We took a walk along the Nar Valley Way, past the Priory and Castle in the village and then out, with a few CROW diversions through the Lexhams, and ended up by a completely different river: the Wensum over at Sculthorpe.
Images were added to the Flickr gallery for the village. Feel free to use it as a case study, or as a model for your own fieldwork assessing the impact of tourism and demographics on a rural village.
