Most supermarkets have dented cans and products which are close to their sell-by dates. These reduced products are getting an increased amount of attention from customers who can't afford food as easily as others.
I also have the Too Good to Go app on my phone. This provides details of bags for collection which contain items which may otherwise be thrown away at the end of the day.
In the USA, a growing number of people are heading to use what are called Salvage Store chains.
Expect to see a lot more of this sort of activity in the year ahead.
