David Rogers' new venture

David Rogers has a new venture which may be of interest to those of you who are far more energetic than me.

Over the last five years or so, his running has turned into an important part of his life, and he has increasingly supported a number of running groups and volunteered at Park Runs in his home area down on the South Coast and travelled in his van to other events around the country. He has also challenged himself with some ultra marathons and long trail runs.

He is increasingly drawn back to his Welsh homeland and the mountains of Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons, with his dog Dwynwen to encourage him to get outside and do the hard miles.

He has now launched a series of Mountain and Trail adventures, in the UK and elsewhere with specific support for those who want to explore a new area.

He can help with training and navigation and also arrange running events and experiences for small groups or individuals who want to join. A calendar of events is taking shape

He is offering a range of support for those who want to develop their skills in a number of areas.

With his geographical skills and background, and years of experience, he can also design a range of bespoke adventures, tailored to people's needs.

Examples of past adventures include:

  • 1:1 mountain guiding
  • Guided runs in the South Downs
  • Navigation workshops for mountaineering and running
  • National 3 peaks challenge
  • Mountain and Lowland Leader experience and assessment preparation days / shadowing / coaching
  • Welsh 3000'er fastpacking expedition
  • Recce weekends for mountain running races

David is also an Ambassador for Attain Run Caps.

This is an important project around suicide prevention and mental health.
