This is the third in a trilogy of books about the importance of geography through history, and this one has an eye on the future and on what Star Trek referred to as 'the final frontier': Space. As with all Tim Marshall's books, this is effortlessly readable and draws in a range of sources and stories.
There are some familiar contexts here, as well as some stories that were new to me.
For those who want to hear from the author he is doing a session for the RGS-IBG at the end of this month.

The session is organised by the Northern Ireland regional committee of the RGS.
The book will sell in large quantities of course.
I will be adding a review to my GeoLibrary blog.
Thanks to Elliot and Thompson for sending me an advance review copy of the book.
