Putting American fiction on the map

“I felt if people would just read novels and stories set in all these places, they would just see the depth of them.”

A nice piece in Bloomberg City Lab about a project by Susan Straight. She was interested in mapping the locations of the stories she read, many of them specific to particular local areas of the USA. She has now mapped '1001' books.

It started out as a physical project but has now been turned into a StoryMap.

How many of these books have you read?

A cross posting from my GeoLibrary blog, which features over 550 books.
