I've been exploring a range of resources on the broad theme of Everyday Geographies and the power of the mundane rather than the exotic.
Next up is a short film made by John Smith.
It's quite an influential avant garde film and features the film maker apparently 'directing' people in the street. We learn later that he is apparently 'shouting' those instructions from a distant location. All the action takes place on a mundane street with nothing particularly exciting happening.
Take a look.
There are some other Tik Tok style films I've seen recently which were certainly inspired by this film.
