The world is warming inexorably and there is a need to take a fresh look at house design and architecture.
Much of the UK's housing stock is not suited to the likely temperature extremes that we will face. We need to start redesigning our homes for a different climate, and one with more extremes. Drainage systems and water usage need to be revisited.
This article explores some work being done in favelas to cool the buildings down.
