Antarctica Flag Competition 2023

The moment that many schools have been waiting for. The launch of the Polar Flag Competition for 2023, run by the UK Polar Network.

This is a project where students design flags to be sent to Antarctica. 
They are then photographed in Antarctica by the UK PolarNetwork's team of volunteers working at stations such as McMurdo and Rothera, or aboard ships such as the RRS Sir David Attenborough, they then send the photographs back to us to pass onto you. 
A piece of artwork designed by children at your school will make its way to Antarctica! How exciting!

This has grown in popularity massively over the last few years. It's always exciting for the students seeing their flags displayed down in the Antarctic. I've taken part for the last three or four years.
