I love creative work of this kind.
Gawon Lee has looked at some ads that might be found in future supermarkets in his Super Nostalgia series of work.
Welcome to the supermarket of the future ✨How annoying would it be if we couldn’t find the ingredients we need at the supermarket? When I read that the climate crisis was affecting agriculture I thought about what the future of food will be like. I turned this frustration into a poster series advertising a supermarket in the 2050s.
What would happen if your favorite food disappeared?
In 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) adopted the special report "Global Warming of 1.5 °C." If the current levels of greenhouse gas emissions continue, it is highly likely that the Earth's surface temperature will rise by 1.5 degrees or more compared to the pre-industrial period within the next two decades. This is more than a decade ahead of the IPCC target.
In the near future, if we do nothing, all the foods we enjoy today will be replaced or become rare.
Gawon Lee has created some excellent illustrations.
