King's Cross - the future of London?

“It’s actually quite a frightening place.” Tony Blair, 1997

King's Cross has been going through a long-term transformation. If you come out of the station and turn right you can make your way up towards Coal Drops Yard and the new location for Central St. Martins - where my wife studied when it was in its 'proper' location on Long Acre.

A recent article in The Economist looks at the development that has taken place north of King's Cross.

We looked at this as the possible site for a field trip, but transport there is the issue for us.

An album of Flickr photos that I took is here - all CC licensed if they are of any use.

You will need a subscription to read it.

Thanks Kate - it's a good location for fieldwork if you can get there in a cost effective way.
