Worldly Wednesday #12: 20.11.24

Another Wednesday means it's time for another Worldly Wednesday.

I didn't have anywhere to head off to today once again. Next week will be different.

It was a cold day, with snow showers beginning to fall in the afternoon but not amounting to much fortunately.

A new blog post that I'd written for the GA's blog went live. This blog has been around for a few years.

I wrote the first post back in 2022 when it launched, and added a post a year after the GCSE Natural History was given approval, when it seemed more like it might actually happen.

I worked on several writing projects - including a first draft of the third book in a series I'm contributing to. I can't say much about it now, but as soon as it's published you will see more. It's been an interesting project, and I have written nearly 70 pages of content for books aimed at an older international audience and on topics which I haven't written about before.

I wrote some answers for questions in a new textbook for a newly updated GCSE specification. The draft of the chapter has been finished, but I need to provide sample answers for all the questions that were added to the ends of each spread.

I started a book review for a book I had been sent a copy of, as I'd previously submitted a quote for the website.

To end the day I spent several hours reading and responding to some drafts of the RGS' preliminary submission to the Call for Evidence for the government's Curriculum and Assessement Review under Becky Francis.
