Ultimately, Why Study Geography? is a useful tool for geography teachers to reflect on the significance of our subject and how best to communicate that to others. It poses the important question: what kind of geographer do you want to be? Whether you want to challenge injustice, find solutions, or make new discoveries, geography offers the tools—and the mindset—to do so.
Interestingly she says she wouldn't hand it directly to a student, although it's designed for students and their parents to see the value of studying geography and the careers it can lead onto, as well as the actual process of applying to university.
