Halloween is scary... for the planet

Halloween and the shops have been full of tat for weeks now.

A lot of this has been made from plastic of course and will then be thrown away by next week. That's the scary bit...

Around 80% of Halloween merchandise is made predominately from cheap plastics and an estimated seven million costumes are sent to landfill each year, according to the wildlife trust.

There are also all those wasted pumpkins...

Decorations are bad news for wildlife as well.
