The local news programme here in the East had a story recently about an Estate Agent which had successfully sold a house which is just metres from the sea, and perched on rapidly eroding sand dunes at Hemsby. These have seen houses demolished in the last few weeks following rapid erosion due to early winter storms.
The person who bought the house was aware of the risks, and the sea is a fairly obvious feature as viewed from the property.
