Worldly Wednesdays #48: Holt, who goes there?

 Welcome to another Worldly Wednesday.

A lovely sunny day today, ahead of some more wet weather forecast.

Took the opportunity to head for Holt: a Georgian town in north Norfolk which always looks good at Christmas time. It also has a very fine old-fashioned department store called Bakers and Larners which is great for Christmas treats. Then had cream tea at Byfords of Holt - another institution in the town that I've been visiting for almost 30 years, and which has changed a lot in that time.

Home and to set up the Christmas tree and fill it with our quirky collection of baubles accumulated over the last twenty plus years.

And finished the day with more of Hannah Kent's excellent new book on her Icelandic experiences and the inspiration for her book 'Burial Rites'.

Finished the day with a long Zoom call with colleagues on the RGS Eastern Region committee planning events for next year.
