GB Renewables Map

Robin Hawkes has been working on this GB Renewables Map for a while and posts over on LinkedIn. The current version is well worth taking a look at.

Living in Norfolk, I regularly encounter renewable energy infrastructure.

One of the cables to the transformer stations was buried at the edge of my village a few years ago. Although it was disruptive at the time, you wouldn't know it was there now apart from markers to warn people not to dig down along the route.

We have also seen large wind farms appear all around the coast, so that the view out to sea includes turbines now, and at night their winking orange lights can be seen... The industry provides a lot of jobs for people both servicing the turbines but also handling the on-shore infrastructure....
