EMO-GI #7: Hope and Action

I have spent the last month reading a range of research papers on climate change and emotions: in particular young people's emotional responses to what they are seeing.

This includes what Glenn Albrecht has called "solastalgia" - something felt by many indigenous peoples.

One of the key researchers in this area seems to be Panu Pihkala from the University of Helsinki.

He has developed the Process Model of EcoAnxiety which can be read about here.

I will explore this in more detail over the next few weeks.

There are some useful ideas here.

This was part of their Climate Emotions series.
