A long piece in the Financial Times explores the potential threat to the Sizewell 'C' project which is currently being prepared on the Suffolk coast. There has been rapid erosion a short distance down the coast at Thorpeness.
This is a place I know well as we are fairly regular visitors to Aldeburgh, Snape and related locations along that stretch of the Suffolk coast. I also remember some years ago being stopped by the police after I took some pictures of the Sizewell area for a textbook project.
Thorpeness has since received some bags of rocks as an additional defence, paid for by residents.
