As usual, we will be following the activity on Mt. Everest during the climbing season which is about to get underway on the mountain.
The Tibetan side of the mountain is apparently closed, so there will be more pressure on the Nepalese side.
The start has been delayed due to a large unstable serac (ice tower) in the area of the Khumbu Icefall.
This prevented climbers from proceeding to Camp 1.
Drones are being used to move equipment. This is a recent development and is another way that the environment is changing.
Kenton Cool is posting on Instagram. He is worth following. Alan Arnette sends updates too.
Good luck to all those aiming for the summit over the coming weeks.
