In a few weeks' time I shall be starting on the process of moderating school submissions for the Geographical Association's Primary and Secondary Geography Quality Marks.
This occupies me for several days during the summer holidays so that the results are ready for when schools return after the summer break and can start off the academic year with some good news!
It is one of the highlights of my year, and a real privilege to be asked to do it once again.
I've been on the moderation teams for almost 20 years I think and had the chance to work with some really interesting people in that time.
A new video has been created by the Geographical Association to show the value of engaging with the Quality Marks for departmental improvement.
Why not take a look and consider using the process as CPD for your whole department in the year ahead, with a chance to gain accreditation from the GA for the next 3 years.
