Climate Risk Game - ClimarisQ

At the moment, there is a conference for those who develop games with an educational content, often based on academic research, sometimes as part of dissemination of the research outputs. Many of these have been shared as part of a conference called #EGU22: the European Geosciences Union General Assembly.

There was a session at the GA Conference on gaming and vulcanology led by Ed McGowan who kindly stepped in for Jaz Scarlett.

I had a look at Climarisq and found a game which has potential.

It can be played as an app, or through a web browser.

ClimarisQ is a smartphone/web game resulting from a scientific mediation project that highlights the complexity of the climate system and the urgency of collective action to limit climate change.
It is an app-game where players must make decisions to limit the frequency and impacts of extreme climatic events and their impacts on human societies thanks to real climatic models. The game is easy enough to play, but difficult to make the correct decisions.
